We have completed our coached projects!!! The capes are on display in the hallway! Thanks to parents who helped cut out felt, sent in supplies, and helped assemble. The kids had a blast and we created a Glogster to show how we completed the project. Check it out under Learning Websites/Econo-ME.

We are making the capes Thursday morning!!! If you want to join in the chaos as we spend our pennies and create our masterpiences. Come on in. We will start around 10:00.
Check out the fact family glogster the class made with me. It has some fun videos to remind them how fact families work. The class designed the pictures and graphics. I need feedback on if you are able to view videos. We had trouble with Internet Explorer, but Firefox and Google Chrome seem to work. Let me know!
Sorry the newsletter wasn't on last night! I forgot to hit publish yesterday and it didn't update. It should be correct now.
First grade classes rotated on Monday for some NC Art Museum follow up activities. Students participated in a seminar on the painting, California, by Maxine Albro. They learned an African dance showing goods and services, made popcorn to sell to a friend(producers and consumers), played dress up with different jobs, and discussed ART WHICH shows various vocabulary!! The kids had so much fun learning and connecting with our Econo-ME unit. I need a few volunteers to cut out the capes from felt. I will have a pattern and it's so easy!!! Let me know if you are interested. I also need safety pins to pin badges created to the capes. I figured that students could take the paper badges off when they get home and still have a cool cape that will last. The kids are so excited!!
Sorry I have not been posting much the past few weeks. With hospital trips, a kid, and keeping up with lesson plans, I am exhausted. Hoping to start posting some more fun stuff soon. Hang in there!:)
